At the end of June 2022 we were invited to attend the CharIN Conference & Testival EUROPE in Zielona Góra, Poland! This was a great opportunity to test the EVerest ISO15118 support with a lot of cars to ensure that the open source software EVerest is as compliant as possible.
We tested AC charging with various EVs and test systems, and had great exchanges with the other attendants! Our testing partners were: a Kia EV6, Mercedes-Beny EQS, an EV from Atellantis, the testsystem from Keysight and the test system of the company Trialog.
During the Testival we focused our testing on “basic charging” (IEC61851-1) and ISO15118-2 (AC), with authorization via RFID/NFC charge cards, excluding Plug-and-Charge (PnC) for the moment. We investigated whether the charging itself works and what messages the EVs and test systems are sending to EVerest.
During testing with ISO15118-2 we discovered that we had one of the most complete ISO15118-2 AC implementations!
It was a pleasure to share our expertise and to see how the industry of EV charging is developing towards a better and greener future!
