The VCP executes the actual EVerest firmware stack to replicate production logic, protocol transitions, and hardware states exactly as a physical charger would. By integrating a dynamic simulation layer for EVs, grid constraints, and hardware components, it establishes a perfectly accurate baseline for complex, real-world scenarios that are otherwise difficult or impossible to replicate.
Dual Operating Modes: Control manual or automated via API
Users can interact in detail with every charger, override states, SSH into dockerized EVerest instances, and analyze real-time logs to catch hidden bugs manually. For integration into fully automated CI/CD systems, you can use various simulation APIs to control charger and car behavior, trigger plug events, and deliberately inject failures.
Advanced Configuration & Scalable Versioning
The VCP provides direct "under-the-hood" access via a built-in Config Explorer. This enables users to select specific EVerest firmware versions and modify configuration files, parameters, or security certificates.
